Five stages. One journey. Turn your idea into something real.

Start by registering, sharpen your skills, build with AI, and pitch your solution at the Grand Final. Each stage moves you closer to transforming an idea into something you can proudly showcase.

Stage by stage

What each of the five stages actually involves

Four weeks, five stages. Here is what you are doing in each one, what is expected of you, and what you have at the end of it.

Stage 1 — Register

Bootcamp registration is now closed. Registered participants joined as teams of one to five or participated solo from start to finish. The fee was RM50 per participant, covering the online workshops, AI discovery sessions, industry exposure and competition entry.

You choose a real workplace problem when you register. Pick the one you care about most, and the organising team will confirm the final assignment. You are not locked in at the point of registering.

What you need: enrolment at a Malaysian university at diploma, foundation or undergraduate level, and a laptop. No coding experience is required.

Stage 2 — Learn (3–4 October 2026)

Two days of online workshops. These are not lecture recordings — they are working sessions covering the AI tools you will actually use during the build period, how to scope a problem small enough to finish, and how to structure a 5–10-minute pitch that industry judges will understand.

Everything runs online, so you can attend from anywhere in Malaysia. If your timetable clashes with a session, the material is designed so a team can cover for a missing member.

Four workshops are included in your RM50 registration — each led by an industry practitioner, each built around something you will use in the ten days that follow.

Pitching & Presenting — Make Your Idea Clear and Compelling

A good idea only creates impact when people can understand it. This practical session helps you structure a clear 5–10-minute pitch, explain the workplace problem, demonstrate your solution and show why it matters. You will practise confident delivery, purposeful storytelling and concise responses to judges' questions so your team can present with clarity and credibility.

Real Workplace Problems — Finding What Is Worth Solving

Strong solutions begin with a problem that is real, specific and worth solving. This session shows you how to understand workplace challenges from the people experiencing them, identify the underlying cause, and turn a broad issue into a focused problem statement. You will learn to ask better questions, test your assumptions and choose a challenge that can create meaningful value for employees and employers.

AI Tools — Turning Ideas into Working Solutions

Explore practical AI tools that can help you research, create, analyse, automate and build a working prototype. This hands-on session focuses on choosing the right tool for your problem, writing effective instructions, checking the quality of AI-generated results and combining tools into a simple workflow. You will leave ready to turn your team's idea into a functional solution during the build period, even without a technical background.

Stage 3 — Build (5–22 October 2026)

Ten days to turn your idea into something that runs. The deliverable is a working AI-powered prototype, not a slide deck and not a mockup. It does not need to be large. It needs to be real, functional, and genuinely yours.

This is the stage the whole programme is built around. Most teams discover their original idea was too big and cut it down — that is a normal and expected part of the process, not a failure.

Stage 4 — Pitch, Round 1 (24–25 October 2026)

You pitch live to industry mentors in online breakout rooms. Each team gets 5–10 minutes to pitch, followed by questions. You get direct feedback from people who build and hire in this field — for most participants this is the single most valuable part of the four weeks, regardless of how they place.

The Top 20 teams are shortlisted from Round 1 for the physical Grand Final. See the full judging criteria for how scoring works.

Stage 5 — Shine, Grand Final (7 November 2026)

The finalists step off the screen and pitch in person at Penang. This is where the RM10,000 prize pool is awarded across nine prizes: Champion, 1st Runner-Up, 2nd Runner-Up, 4 × Creativity Awards and 2 × Teamwork Awards.

Every participant receives an e-Certificate of Participation. Finalists receive a Certificate of Achievement, industry recognition and lifetime PDX Club membership.

After the Grand Final

The Top 20 finalists are offered a showcase slot at the annual PDX event in front of 4,000 participants. Your name and resume also go to the programme's industry partners — first-hand, ahead of the queue — which is where the RM50 fee earns back its value.

This is a showcase and introduction opportunity. It is not an offer of employment, investment or funding.
